I got the 3 lb pair for light warm-ups, and they're decent for the price. The rubber coating feels okay, and the hex head stops them from rolling around. The chrome handle is smooth, which I don't love—it can get slippery. For $25 for a pair of 3 lb dumbbells, you're paying a bit for the coating and hex shape, but they function fine for basic exercises. I'd recommend going heavier if you can.
